This is the photo that first captured the interest of my Beautiful Tennessee Lady. I had moved from Phoenix to Denver after all my boys moved on and I was so very lonely. I tried the internet with a profile stating I could be a Jim, Jimmy or a James for the right lady. On Saturday, October 17, 1998 at 1:02 am Gayle sent me an e-mail stating she did not know why she was writing because we live to far apart to meet. She lives in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee. I wrote back and the dream began. I told Gayle the hazard of the internet is you may meet someone special and find they are to far away to meet in person. We continued to write and then on New Years Eve, 1998 at about 4:00 pm my dream lady came to life. | ||||||||||||||||||

Gayle drove over 1300 miles to meet me. We began the new year together and found we both truly did have the same dream. On Saturday I got a Dalmatian puppy named Bruno. Gayle told me all about Nicky, a Dobberman wiating for her to come home in Tennessee. Gayle stayed 5 days. I knew right away I could not let this Wonderful, Beautiful Tennessee Lady get away from me. I did not want to rush things so I waited 2 days before I asked her to be my wife. Gayle said yes and our two dreams became one. Our five days together were like five weeks. Then the next 30 days was like a year. When she left I only had Bruno to keep me company. He was our baby. He had arrived the same week end Gayle did and having him with me told me it had not been a dream. Each night when I went to sleep I was worried I would wake up and find it was just a dream. Every morning Bruno was there to let me know it was real. It took 30 days to quite my job, pack up and Bruno and I were off to Tennessee. | Five Days. We arrived in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee on Feb. 6th in the late evening. Gayle and Nicky were waiting for us and we became a family right away. It was never like I was visiting someone's home. I had come home. Bruno and Nicky run and play in the big yard. Gayle and I would play inside. We laugh, joke, tease, talk, watch movies, cook, clean, and do the house work together. (Gayle will not let me do very much) We still e-mail each other and talk on the phone when she is at work. Such wonderful love, I truly came home. We planed to go to Texas in August to see my son Justin, daughter-in-law, Jamie and my two grandsons. I asked Justin to be best man at our wedding. We planed to then go to Germany to see my oldest son, Jimmy and his wife, Deanna and the new baby they will have by then. I quickly found I could not wait until August. I did not want to let this Beautiful Lady get away but I did not want to rush things so I waited four days before I asked Gayle to not wait. On the 11th of February, 1999 Gayle Fry Howell and James Allen Mullenix became man and wife. We are now living our dream. We both have heard people say we could not know each other well enough, we married to quick. When they see us together they change there tune. Gayle and I know To live your dream you must first believe in your dream. We are living our dream. It has been some time sense I have updated the page. Gayle and I have been married almost one year and we are still living our dream. Every day has been better than the one before. Gayle has been promoted two times in one year and I have found a very good job in Soddy Daisy. I am with the Volunteer Fire Department and may become a part time Police Officer here in Soddy Daisy. We have been to Texas to see the Grandkids and to Germany to see the new Grandson. Justin and Jamie came up from Texas for Christmas and are moving to Tennessee soon. I still catch 15 inch bass from the fishing pond on our property. How could live be any better. I will be adding another page and updating the first Mullenix Family page soon so check back.
